I am a Licensed Professional Counselor and Army Veteran serving this community with deep respect for the strength people carry and the burdens they often carry quietly. I have worked across inpatient care, telehealth, and private practice, and I’ve recently opened my schedule to accept new clients with a variety of insurance plans to make care more accessible and affordable for our community.

My approach is simple and compassionate. I meet you exactly where you are, without judgment, and we work together toward getting life to a place that feels more manageable, meaningful, and hopeful. Whether you are navigating stress, anxiety, depression, life changes, relationship challenges, or simply feeling stuck, you do not have to figure it out alone. Taking the first step can be daunting, but it is also often the beginning for real change!

What can clients expect in their first session with you and in the early stages of therapy?

In our first session and early work together, you can expect a calm, welcoming space where you don’t have to have the “right words” or a clear plan. We will start exactly where you are. I begin by getting to know you as a whole person, not just the problem that brought you in. Your history, strengths, goals, and current stressors all shape how we work together. I pay close attention to what feels most important to you and adjust our focus and pace to match where you are.

What’s one thing you wish all clients knew about therapy, mental health, or the healing process?

Healing is not about “fixing” you. It is about understanding you with honesty and compassion, so you can move forward with clarity, strength, and choice. From the beginning, we will gently explore patterns, thoughts, and behaviors that may be keeping you from where you want to be, while also identifying strengths you may not yet see in yourself. You will leave with practical tools, small steps you can try between sessions, and a growing sense that change is possible. Therapy with me is a partnership built on compassion, curiosity, and skill building so you can create meaningful movement forward at a pace that feels right for you.

What personal experiences or values inform your practice as a therapist/provider?

My practice is deeply shaped by a life of service, resilience, and connection. As a Veteran, former military spouse, mother, divorcee, member of the LGBTQ+ family, and someone who has walked through seasons of transition, uncertainty, and growth, I understand how life can ask us to carry more than we feel prepared for. Those experiences taught me the value of steady presence, honest conversation, and meeting people with respect for the story they bring.

I believe healing happens when people feel seen without judgment and supported with practical tools to move forward. My work is grounded in compassion, curiosity, and the belief that every person has the capacity for change when given the right support, space, and skills.

How do you tailor therapy to meet each client’s unique needs?

I draw from evidence based approaches and practical skill building, but I never use a one size fits all method. I’ll listen to your story, learn what has brought you in, and begin to understand what feels heavy, confusing, or stuck in your life right now. As we learn what helps and what does not, we adjust. Therapy becomes a flexible, collaborative process designed around your needs so the work feels relevant, supportive, and effective for your life.
